CSX 4050
My dad took some interest in following the Indiana Eastern a few weeks back, so I decided to make a Monday on the IERR happen for the both of us. We ended up getting a little bit later of a start than I had hoped, and with the IERR getting an earlier start to their day now than what they did compared to the first time I had chased them south four years ago, I was a bit worried that we wouldnt catch them departing. However, we were both relieved to find that they had yet to go grab their interchange cars from CSX. Speaking of CSX, that was the railroad that was active upon arrival. L425 was departing Connersville eastbound, while M360 was waiting for their arrival at McGoingle. Ever since the L421/425 were reinstated to originating at Connersville, a plethora of different CSX motors have come and gone from the pool, ranging from Geeps to GEVOs. So, we werent really sure what todays L425 was going to throw at us. About a half hour after we got settled in Cottage Grove, L425 came rushing by with a SD40-3/GEVO/Dash 9 trio with a 318 axle local bound for Queensgate Yard in Cincinnati.
