Album Info:All aboard! The Belton, Grandview, and Kansas City Railroad maintains a short excursion line just south of Kansas City! The train doesn't run all the way in to Kansas City (or north, for that matter), but it runs a few miles south, through nice neighborhoods, through woods, and past the city baseball park. A GP9 pulls an open-air flatcar, a passenger car from the Lackawanna Railroad, and a caboose for a very pleasant experience! Rides happen on weekends June through August-always on Saturdays, sometimes Fridays, sometimes Sundays. Fridays June through August, the ride comes with a bowl of ice cream! Rides are just $10 ($12 for the ice cream special). For a full schedule, see their website here. https://kcrrm.org/index.php Also, though, the railroad has a neat collection of locomotives and rolling stock. Two steam engines are on display, Frisco 1632 and Okmulgee Northern #5. Also on display is a little Plymouth switcher and some other rolling stock. If you ever get to Kansas City, make sure to visit! P.S.--Also, the museum is only about a half hour from Kauffman Stadium (which is where I went afterwards) :)
